How this works

• Only public repositories are scanned — private repos are never visible to this service.
• Rankings are based on commits in the last 30 days, so recent activity matters more than historical totals.
• New repositories may take a few hours to appear after they are first made public.
• Only one GitHub account per person is tracked — commits from multiple accounts are not merged.
• Forks and toy/test repos with synthetic commit patterns may be excluded.
• Stats refresh every few minutes, but with hundreds of thousands of users and repositories tracked, it can take time for new activity to appear.
